Weicon Flex 310 M Classic
Weicon Flex 310 M Classic is a universal elastic adhesive manufactured from a MS polymer base. This high quality, one part adhesive exhibits excellent compatibility with a wide range of materials and creates strong bonds that a sandable, overpaintable* and free of isocyanate and solvents.
Available in white, black and grey colours, Flex 310 M Classic is well suited for bonding metals, ceramic, wood, glass, stone and many plastics and also displays good adhesion on aluminium and stainless steel even without a primer. Some typical applications for this product include:
- Tank and apparatus construction
- Car body, vehicle and freight container construction
- Ventilation and air conditioning
- Electrical industry
- Yacht and ship building
- And wherever silicones or products containing silicones are not suitable
A neutral cure adhesive with a pasty consistency, Weicon Flex 310 M Classic can be dispensed using normal dispensing equipment. It is used for filling gaps up to 5mm in depth (25mm in width) and cures with a shore hardness of 42 shore A. Once cured, this permanently elastic adhesive has an elongation at break of 650% and resists temperatures between -40ºC and 90ºC (with short-term spikes up to 130ºC).
Other characteristics of Weicon Flex 310 M Classic include:
- Free of silicone, isocyanate and halogen
- Sandable (after curing)
- Excellent aging resistance
- Good UV stability
- Resistant to fresh and salt water
- Solvent free, odour free
- Can be painted over immediately using the “wet in wet” method
*Over painting can only be done using the “wet in wet” method. This must be done within 3 hours of material application using a suitable paint coating system.
